Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the Muslim Guide Book website works with information today. It describes the current behaviour of the site and will be updated as features change.

You can use the site without creating an account. The site does not currently store personal information about you in its own database.

If you send a message through the contact form in future, it will include the details you type, such as your name and email.

Location is used only for Prayer Times and Qibla, and only after you choose a city or press “Use My Location”. The site never requests your location on its own.

• Coordinates from your device are rounded to about 100 metres.
• The chosen location is saved in your browser on this device.
• To show a place name, the rounded coordinates are sent to a reverse geocoding service (BigDataCloud).
• City searches send the text you type to Open-Meteo's geocoding service.

Prayer times and the Qibla direction are calculated in your browser.

The AR Qibla view uses your camera only while it is open. The video is shown on your screen and is not recorded or uploaded.

The site saves these in your browser's local storage on this device:

• Theme (light or dark)
• Quran reader settings and bookmarks
• Favourite duas and transliteration preference
• Audio player preferences such as volume and speed
• Selected location and prayer calculation settings

You can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

The site does not set advertising or tracking cookies.

Recitation and dua audio is streamed from third-party audio libraries. The site does not record what you listen to.

Online donations are not connected yet, so no payment details are collected. When a payment provider is added, this section will name it and explain what it processes.

To work, the site loads content from these services, which receive standard request information such as your IP address:

• AlQuran.cloud and Quran.com — Quran text, translation and recitation metadata
• Islamic Network CDN, Quran.com and hisnmuslim.com — audio
• Open-Meteo and BigDataCloud — location search and place names
• OpenStreetMap — map tiles on the Qibla map
• Google Fonts — typefaces

The site does not run its own analytics. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs.

The site can be used by all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

When this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will change.
