Questions about prayer times
Why can prayer times differ between apps?
Apps use different calculation methods (sun angles for Fajr and Isha), Asr rules and local adjustments. A few minutes' difference is normal.
Which calculation method should I use?
Follow the method used by your local mosque or national authority. We pick a common regional default, but no single method is universally correct.
What is the Hanafi Asr setting?
The Hanafi school begins Asr when an object's shadow is twice its length; other schools use once its length, so Hanafi Asr is later.
Why did my location time change?
Times follow the selected city's timezone, including daylight saving changes, and shift a little each day with the sun.
